WHO IS LENZING AG?
Lenzing AG is a leading global corporation with over 75 years of expertise in producing high-quality man-made cellulose fibers. Headquartered in Austria, Lenzing operates 18 offices across continents worldwide.
It is also the only company in the world that combines the production of all three generations of man-made cellulose fibers under one roof on an industrial scale — from classic viscose to Modal and TENCEL™ fibers.
Lenzing actively contributes to social responsibility and environmental protection by planting forests, harvesting them for cellulose fiber production, minimizing environmental impact, and creating products with high sustainable value.
WHAT IS TENCEL™ FIBER?
WHY CHOOSE TENCEL™ SILK?
TENCEL™ fiber is made from eucalyptus wood and is the sustainable, refined version of Lyocell. Eucalyptus wood pulp is spun into fibers using advanced nanotechnology, creating an eco-friendly material that’s safe for human health.
In addition to its high versatility—used in clothing and bedding—TENCEL™ is favored by environmentally conscious consumers due to its low-impact production process, which consumes less energy and water than conventional cotton. During dyeing, TENCEL™ fibers also require fewer dyes and, notably, do not need to be bleached. TENCEL™ offers excellent moisture absorption, dries quickly, and stays fresh longer than cotton. It's naturally temperature-regulating, 100% plant-based, luxurious, vegan, and fully biodegradable. The fibers are breathable and odor-resistant, as bacteria have little chance to survive.
TENCEL™ fiber was developed by Lenzing AG, an Austrian company that actively contributes to sustainable forestry by cultivating and harvesting wood scraps to produce innovative textiles with exceptional qualities rarely matched by any other material.
